Admitting Defeatby Jake on August 5 at 12:38PM | comments (1)
[ comments (1) ] [ BallHype ] There are some things no one wants to hear their manager say. "We seem to bring a lot out in him," referring to an opposing player, is right up there. Tito uttered those boneheaded comments in last night's press conference referring to Evan Longoria and his multi-homerun game, according to today's Washington Post Baseball Insider. Unless "the thing" to which he is referring is something along the lines of... nerves... blood... even freaking vomit... SOMETHING besides a pair of monster home-runs. This ranks firmly behind Pedro's imfamous "New York is my Daddy" blunder in 2004 in the evergrowing pantheon of stupid things said by people in a Red Sox uniform. But it will soon be surpassed by at least one of the several boneheaded comments that spew forth from the beautifully mustached mouth of Mr. Dennis Eckersley.

Yeah. Eck has a tendency to do that.
